The nominations for the Oscars and Golden Globes were released a couple of weeks ago which means everyone is getting ready for the red carpet. 2011 was an amazing year, the hits definitely out weighted the misses and the anticipation of who will wear what in 2012 has everyone on the fashion industry buzzing and of course who the big winners will be! Here are some predications for the 2012 red carpet:

sequins

Sequins are still very hot on the runways with brands like Dolce & Gabbana, French Connection and Alexander McQueen incorporating them into their 2011 lines.

jewel tones

Jewel tones have been a ongoing trend for about four seasons and always maintain to look classy and stunning year after year. I don’t see them going anywhere in 2012 and I expect to see them adorned on the nominees.

nudes

Similar to jewel tones nudes are an ongoing trend, one I hope sticks around. They’re flattering and sexy on all skin tones.

colored lace

I expect to see lace on several actors, lace is timeless, sexy and sophisticated. I see some people stepping out the box and adorning colored lace instead of traditional black.
