Missoni is known for being a highly desirable, chic, elegant Italian brand since the early 1950′s and in September 2011, the creators of the brand will be doing a phenomenal colaboration with Target whose designer creations are events people love and look forward to every season.
The Missoni for Target line is said to be the one of the biggest collaborations yet, according to Vogue.com. The Missoni collection will not only include clothes for men, women and children, but bedding, dinnerware and a $400 bike.
Daughter and creative director of the brand, Angela Missoni, along with her own daughter, Margherita, have worked very closely with the Target team to ensure a collection that will be suiting of the Missoni family name.
“Quality has always been one of the key aspects of Missoni, along with knitwear, pattern and color,” Margherita Missoni said, in recent profile for Vogue Magazine.
Some may question that of designers who choose to collaborate on such a larget scale is belittling their name or lowering their brand, but Missoni disagrees, “People ask me, ‘is it a good idea to do a collection on a large scale?’ But for me, I don’t perceive it as lowering your brand; I see it as creating something new and collectible,” she said.
